Marathon Volunteer Appreciation Event

The world focuses on the courage it must take to run a marathon on the big day and everyone focuses on the athletes but we would like to remind you that the event would not be possible without the support of hundreds of volunteers. People are needed to collect all the clothing left at the race starting point and package them for donation to charity, oversee the medical support areas, manage the various Marathon Week events leading up to the big deal and a lot more that hasn't been stated here.

Our teammates Alexi and Melissa (center of above image) expressed their appreciation for these services by becoming volunteers themselves at a post-marathon event honoring the Marathon Volunteers at Clyde Frazier's in mid-town Manhattan on November 9. 2015. Above they post with other runners who took the time to celebrate with the volunteers.....and get a little competitive in yet another sport!
